We specialize in recognizing and supporting areas of the brain that encounter challenges in communication. MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) is a tailored approach utilizing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) combined with advanced diagnostic techniques.
*Results are based on active and strict observation of our regimens. Results may vary based on the individual users and are not guaranteed.
We recommend a six-week treatment duration for patients undergoing MeRT to achieve optimal and long-lasting outcomes. However, before committing to the full six weeks, we conduct an initial assessment period to evaluate each patient’s response. This assessment period is included within the six weeks of treatment.
The assessment period spans two weeks and includes nine treatment sessions followed by a repeat qEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram). Treatment is administered during the first week, Monday through Friday, and the subsequent week, Monday through Thursday. Each treatment session typically lasts approximately 30-45 minutes.
Furthermore, your provider will review the results of the follow-up qEEG with you.
If the desired clinical changes are occurring and the qEEG shows progress, you will continue with the treatment program, which involves sessions five days a week, Monday through Friday. Typically, you may start experiencing the benefits of treatment within one to two weeks. As treatment accumulates over time, you can expect to observe further improvements throughout the course of your treatment, and even in the weeks following the completion of therapy. It is important to note that due to the consecutive nature of treatment, you must be able to remain in or near the treatment area while undergoing therapy.
CONTINUING TREATMENT
If the expected clinical changes are occurring and the qEEG shows progress, your treatment will continue. This ongoing treatment plan entails sessions five days a week, from Monday to Friday. You should begin experiencing the benefits of treatment within a week or two. However, as treatment accumulates over time, you can anticipate continued improvements throughout the course of your therapy and even in the weeks following its completion. It is essential to mention that due to the consecutive nature of the treatment, you must be able to stay in or around the San Diego area while undergoing therapy.
Since each individual’s brain and condition are unique, we tailor treatment protocols specifically for each patient based on the guidance of the qEEG results. Throughout the treatment process, repeat qEEGs and clinical consultations are conducted every two weeks.
It’s worth noting that potential side effects of the treatment are minimal and should diminish as you progress through the therapy. Additionally, the effects of treatment generally have long-lasting benefits, though some patients may prefer occasional follow-up treatment as needed.
For those who are not ready to commit to an assessment period or if we need to confirm whether MeRT can be beneficial, we offer the option of undergoing a qEEG/EKG evaluation, followed by a consultation with the physician to discuss the results. After the clinical consultation, you still have the choice to proceed with an assessment period if you wish.
It is important to emphasize that the improvements and results achieved with MeRT are based on strict adherence to our treatment protocols and active observation. Results may vary for each individual and cannot be guaranteed.
